Mayo Clinic Hospital 


The Mayo Clinic Hospital in Scottsdale is part of the world-renowned Mayo system founded in Minnesota in the 1800s. Mayo Clinic in Arizona is composed of the outpatient facility in north Scottsdale, Mayo Clinic Hospital in northeast Phoenix, and several primary care centers located throughout the metropolitan Phoenix area.

Mayo Clinic Hospital has 208 licensed beds, including 172 medical/surgical beds, 20 ICU/CCU beds and seven rehabilitation beds. The facility also provides emergency room services and urgent care. Mayo Clinic Hospital has consistently been named the number one choice of hospitals by consumers in the Phoenix metropolitan area by the National Research Corporation (NRC).

The Mayo Clinic campus is centered around the five-story outpatient clinic and contains 240 exam rooms, an outpatient surgery center equipped for general anesthesia, a full-service laboratory, a pharmacy, a patient education library, an endoscopy suite and a 188-seat auditorium for patient and physician education. The Mayo Clinic Hospital provides inpatient care to support the 65 medical and surgical specialties and programs of Mayo Clinic.

The campus offers education facilities, which include classrooms, lecture halls, a library and computer lab. The Samuel C. Johnson Research Center, a 75,000-square-foot research building, houses scientists, trainees and students focused on molecular genetics, molecular immunology, molecular and cell biology, molecular chemistry and surgical research.
